On the day of the marathon BBC News covered Claire's death as "a sad footnote". Had she been a footballer who survived it would have been headline news.The huge amount raised for the Samaritans once more information emerged on what happened will be some consolation to her family for their loss. Let's hope her memory inspires others in the future.
