Strange things afoot with my vote
Last week I received 3 polling cards for my next door neighbour and his family, addressed to my house number. I posted them through his letterbox and thought nothing of it. Then this morning I started thinking...am I registered and who is registered at my neighbour's address? So I trot down to the polling station to discover that my neighbour, and 2 of his family members are registered at my address and he (with a slightly different first name) and 1 family member are also registered at his. He therefore, has 2 votes and I have none.A quick phonecall to the electoral services and all was sorted so no harm done but I did find it strange that there were different details for the 2 addresses in terms of first names and family numbers but I'm sure it's an honest, albeit weird, mix up with registration formsMy neighbour? A local Labour councillor. I wonder if he'll pay my council tax lol
