Have they ironed out the inital issues with this box?  How are you getting on with yours?  Wonder if we should switch from the ordinary box?  :-)

Yes, we had Virgin back and it panned out to be a fault when it was installed - a really silly little thing, since then it's been absolutely perfect and I would recommend it. I am to be honest, technologically challenged, (dimwit) and I find it easy to record and use the various options.

I'm thinking seriously about upgrading from V+ and wondered if the glitches in Tivo had been ironed out. I'd be grateful for any feedback.

We would love to get the TiVO box, Vanessa, but after being warned off when they first started installing them, it makes it pretty difficult to decide on the change.

NO still the same - was annoyed that after  e-mailing Virgin they said they'd tried to 'phone me but couldn't reach me on the house numbner - Rubbish! Frankly I've been trying to work the enthusiasm up to try again - but I do find these things so bloody wearing - why does everything have to turn into some sort of saga?

Is your box working any better, Vanessa? Seems several of our neighbours have made the swop and the installing engineers say they are working well.

Is it sufficiently more all-singing-all-dancing that the V+ to make the switch worthwhile?

Ours still somehow keeps defaulting from AV5 to AV2 completely mucking up the sound and size of the picture, sometimes two or three times a day when changing channel, drives me nuts. Apart from that it's easy peasy to use - and if I find it easy anyone can- trust me! We also find not having the channel you are actually watching displayed on the box a bit of a pain. But being able to record several channels at once while watching something else is brilliant.
