A welcome addition to the beleagured Brentford High St.It's where the dodgy old Dew Drop was. Wifey and I tried it last night.A good ruby and reasonable too. Take your own alcoholic drink.

Enjoyed Sami's numerous times. Recently noticed the standard of cleanliness in the toilets has dropped. Hopefully an oversight that will be rectified quickly.

Top. Quick check on tripadvisor and we find Sami's at 53rd best restaurant out 17,500 in London. Wow. Top. And the new reviews seem completely genuine. Who needs fakery with the quality on offer at Sami's?

That's a good idea Paul... a Forum Meet Up.  Drinks at the Magpie first...then Same Spice with ' byo'.Am trying to think of how many Meet Ups we've had over the past 10 years of TW8 Forum cyberspace friendships.Several to do with Neil's trips back from OZ... and then the great evening with Gerry ' s buffet at the Waterman's Arms. Remember that?

Thought I'd revitalise this old thread because I noted that Sami's is currently rated the 79th best London restaurant on TripAdvisor!  (Out of over 17,000 restaurants.) Wow.To be fair, the 79th place is based on the number and the ratings given by people reviewing the place. So not a definitive guide nor anything like a Michelin critic review. But it did make me wonder ... a few more positive (and genuine of course) ratings on Tripadvisor and we could push them up into the top 50. Imagine, a Brentford restaurant in the top 50 of London eateries.

For those of you who use Tripadvisor, it may we worth reviewing this restaurant on that site; the more reviews the more visitors, and possibly the more chance they will still be on the High street post regeneration!

Went there on Wed. night with my wife and sister who is over from Oz. Great food and service as usual. It was quiet tho'.

Yes great food at Sami's - I've been going there a year now & the food is just excellent, the chef is a real star. Really friendly staff too.I really hope they manage to avoid the Brentford Wrecking ball of the coming development. Or at least stay local.

I have had several deliveries from there and each time the food was delicious and very good value for money, I can certainly recommend the Sami's balti mix and the vegetable rice :-)

Wife and I have been 4 or 5 times over the last year and top quality and value every time.The staff are very friendly and attentive without being over the top.Two can eat well for about £25-£30.

Greetings.  Son and partner popped in to Sami's last night after asking me for a local restaurant just to chill out and eat after a long day.Very pleased with their visit.  Food lovely and prices reasonable and reception from the staff lovely - including being asked for their names and the promise their names will be remembered when they return - and they will be going back, which is a measure how they felt about the experience!  Well done Sami's!

More satisfied customers:  we got a takeaway from Sami's on Friday and it was so nice we went back again tonight.  Really fresh, tasty food - nicely spiced (with a varied selection of spices)and very welcoming service.  I recommend the tarka dhal, vegetable biriani, saag paneer and prawn puri!

Enjoyed a first rate meal last night.  The curries were excellent and had the perfect balance of subtle flavours and spiciness.  We pushed the boat out and had a number of most tasty and varied side dishes to compliment the curries.We were made to feel very welcome and I look forward to dining in the restaurant again, and enjoying working my way through the menu.

Ian,Our sincere apologies for the way our leaflets have been distributed. We were not aware that they were being distributed in such a manner, as we hired an external person to do the distribution. In hindsight, we should have distributed these leaflets ourselves, so we take full responsibility. I had a lovely lunch there with a friend today! Food absolutely delicious - something like £6.95 for a buffet with quite a variety of beautifully flavoured, and freshly prepared dishes!Nice service, slightly canteen vibe in terms of ambience but probably more atmospheric in the evening what with bring your own booze, dimmed lights etc. I'll definitely be going one evening!

Well I won't be visiting an establishment that distributes leaflets by throwing them into peoples front gardens. I hope someone from Sami's Spice is proposing to come and clear up the litter they have scattered in every garden along Ealing Road.

Another recommendation - went with 6 colleagues yesterday evening- fantastic service and gorgeous food, all at a very reasonable price. Well worth a visit.

Recalling the old Dew Drop Cafe Keith, I do recall popping in there for a light breakfast once...when I was a bit peckish ... and I was served quite a stunning dish: Look at these eggs!My Doctor will not be impressed!
