The M4 viaduct at Boston Manor Road.
During the past few years..we've all noticed the work being done underneath the M4 (and above the Great West Road) to attend to what seems to be failing structures.What a boring job for those nightworkers scrapping away at the concrete pillars to expose and examine the re-enforcement rods which appear to have rusted?Then there has followed work on the Hammersmith Flyover.. causing massive jams.... and although it is now fully open again ones suspects that further work is needed there...to make the Flyover safe.For many weeks now I have also noticed a increase in the number of viewers to my Flickr picture album...looking at the Boston Manor Park M4 Viaduct images. taken 5 years ago. Who could they be. Structural Engineers? Visiting the Park last weekend it was a shock to see a major construction site being created under the M4 to deal with..no doubt.. further structural weaknesses.. or suspicions of problems.In addition heavy vehicles are being directed off the M4 viaducts and onto the Great West Road to seemingly avoid a disaster!
