Dan Penteado of BBC's "Rogue Traders" admits £24,000 benefit fraud

Having just been given the news that celebrities such as Carr and Barlow have been fiddling their taxes on a massive scale, all be it legally, isn't it ironic that a star of a BBC programme that specialised in setting up and exposing small businesses that were ripping off their customers admits to claiming benefits while he was being handsomely rewarded by licence-payers' money for his media work?How about a new BBC programme - "Rogue TV Celebs"? I am fairly certain this is one that would run and run!

As Anthony says, the whole tone of Rogue Traders has a rather inappropriate 'tongue in cheek' tone, essentially it's more entertainment than investigative journalism - World In Action it most certainly isn't.No mention in the article about him being removed from Rogue Traders...what next, Lester Piggott and Ken Dodd present a documentary following the day to day work of HMRC, sponsored by Vodafone ?!.

Really good investigative journalists are always pushed out at the BBC and elsewhwere in the media . It's all showbiz types and those with sharp elbows on TV. Below Average talent and selected to fill the obsession with quotas.A real kick in the teeth for anyone who has worked hard or has genuine natural aptitude. It just does not get recognisedSo hardly a surprise really. But hugely damaging to honest investigative reporting
