A4/Boston Manor Road Junction

As some people are probably aware the timing of the lights at this junction were altered last week, increasing the delay between westbound traffic and eastbound traffic being stopped to about 10 seconds rather than the usual 2-3 seconds. Today the delay has been increased further to around 15 seconds, causing chaos to eastbound traffic - it has been taking around 30 minutes to travel from Gillette Corner to Transport Avenue!I've noticed the H91 buses have given up and started using London Road/Brentford High Street/Ealing Road to avoid the junction, maybe everyone should try this tomorrow.

I have just returned from Tesco's: 15 minutes to get from the store to the traffic lights; 45 minutes to get from Gillette Corner to Mafeking Aveneue. Now if there was a huge Olympic venue near I would understand. Yes there is Wembley but there will be less there than the FA Cup final, and they dont change the lights for that. I believe its to slow the trffic joining the M4 at the Brentford junction.Another point, now that the Olympics have been started, will we see our Council Tax drop?

Just been to Ealing.  Having noted this thread last night, I took one look at the jam at Gillette corner and went the long way around via Windmill lane.  Coming back I sailed down the other Windmill Road and came back along an empty A4 to Gillette corner again.  The A4 East bound was a car park.

Chaos is widespread. Vicarage Farm Road in Heston, off the A4, usually experiences southbound delays at rush hour. Since the traffic light timing changes delays now run from early morning to about 9 pm each evening, even at weekends.Well done, TFL!

My wife has just arrived in Osterley Park with our kids. She says she passed a huge car park on the way there!!, and says it looks a nightmare to get back.TFL take a bow.....7 years, only 7 years of planning.
