Regus offices forfeit on lease-warning to others

Im posting this to see if anyone else has been affected and to warn others. Various businesses rent office space from Regus in Brentford at 1000 Great West Road(including myself) and are now facing bailiffs and are being blocked from entering their offices as Regus forfeited the lease and did not pay rent to the main building (although all businesses have paid them monthly rent including hefty deposits) Regus have been issued with a court order. We only discovered this yesterday (Saturday 28th July 2012) via the new company taking over the lease and from all those blocked from their office space by bailiffs. This affects all of the 2nd and 3rd floor of a large building and is destroying many businesses. All phone lines and internet have been cut and all businesses now without offices come Monday as we are not allowed in. No word from Regus-they took signage down and have now disappeared. We have been told we have lost our deposit and all contracts with Regus are null and void.  Come Monday we must return with proof of what is our personal property eg computers etc and will then be left without an office. I run a small PR agency and am just one of the many seriously affected. This is Regus-a global company who are not batting an eyelid and have issued no statements.

Check with a lawyer that your tenancy is legally terminated. Read the terms. I am sorry to hear of your problems. Strange as Regus are a big company and you would think they would look after their tenants, though presume you have a licence of sorts rather than a tenancy. Good luck with recovering from this and in getting your deposit back.....
