Legoland Tickets for sale

The £5 vouchers was a till voucher you don't need to use your Clubcard to use it. It basically states spend £40 get a fiver on and the Guy did use it so i saved him £5.As to the Tickets, they did not belong to me. A couple i know collected tokens from the sun to get them but they didn't get the dates they wanted (the only dates they could go) so they wanted 2 sell them so the money they got could go towards tickets 2 the day they could go. The tickets were to help save people money on a great day out, they WANTED to go all they did was to sell them to raise a bit of money to save off the nearly £90 to get in..But in the end they actually swapped them today with someone who wanted their dates who had the date they wanted. Go on EBAY there are hundreds of them 4 sale on there its NOT illegal. I was trying to help someone who is not on the Internet to sell them. They are NOT my property and i cant MAKE someone give their property away. I actually collected the Tokens too and my Mum collected some and we got 4 tickets and last month my Mum and sister took my Niece and my son 4 a great free day out, i couldn't go because i have back and leg problems so i stayed home but my son had a fantastic time and Thanks to the Sun Newspaper.

Evidently if you buy the Sun this week you can get free tickets to Thorpe Park.  It would clearly be unsavoury to say the least to advertise these for sale for whatever reason charitable or otherwise.  I imagine these Legoland tickets are the result of some similar deal and should therefore simply be handed on if not wanted.  How much could they possibly raise for charity in any event?

My mistake.The op looked like a straightforward money making proposition.I kind of get the jist of your text speak but you will have to forgive me if I don't understand what amounts to written pidgin English.I think the £5 off £40 shopping is specific to a loyalty card no. and can't be used by just anyone,though I may be wrong.I don't see what's wrong with explaining to people why you are selling free tickets btw.It makes it clear all round what your motives are.

Paul i get it all the time it goes in 1 ear mate but thanks. Keith I NEVER SAID THE TICKETS WERE TO BE SOLD FOR CHARITY!!...I asked if anyone wanted 2 buy them i did NOT say they were MINE either. On Monday i was in Tesco i was paying 4 my food and had a £5 off voucher but i didn't spend £40 or more so i gave it to a Gentleman behind me who had goods over £40 i did not ask anything 4 it. If these tickets were mine i would of Sold them and gave some of the cash..Do u no what..y am i on here explaining myself to you..Do u no what say what u want about me if it makes u happy as whilst u r putting me down u r giving some else a rest..

Fair enough. I used the hard working families idea because they.amongst others, are the people paying taxes for those who live on benefits for whatever reason.I just thought it may be a nice way to give something back.

Indeed, and I can't see any suggestion in Simon's response that any money raised from selling these tickets would go to charity.I don't get the relevance of a couple being 'hard working' either.  If I was in this position, and someone said to me "look I've got these free tickets I can't use, can you try to sell them for me ?" I'd politely refuse and say it would only be right to give them away.Plenty of times on these forums people are kind enough to offer complementary tickets for things they can't attend to anyone who wants them for free, I once went to watch Harlequins rugby league at the Stoop courtesy of such tickets from David Squire following a posting of his on here.Not saying I'm whiter than white, afew years back for some bizarre reason after a new mobile that I'd ordered arrived another one arrived some weeks later, so for a couple of months I held onto it waiting for the firm to contact me, they never did, so I sold it.

That isn't the way you presented the proposition in the first place Simon and it's probably the first time you haven't shouted from the rooftops that you're doing something for charity.In this case you might have been better to actually tell people initially that it is for charity as you may have had a few more offers.Some posters have agreed with me so I am not alone in what I think.From the way the op is written, it seems more like a straightforward.You say below that 'they r a HARD working couples tickets who cant go on that day as they are working and asked if i can try to sell them 4 them'.Says nothing there about sick children.Why not give the tickets to GOSH to raffle or sell for themselves? They may be able to use them for a couple of kids there.

BTW Keith when i asked 4 help on ere it wasn't 4 ME it was 4 Sick Children. So i didn't get anything plus i still do my part in helping Cancer Research and if sumone ask's me 4 their help  if its 2 find something they needs or they want to get rid off (if its 4 sale) i will help as that's the sort of person i am.

I would have thought that with stuff and the help you've asked for over the years Simon and all the sponsorship and things for nish that you have given via this forum,you might do the decent thing and give these tickets away to a hard working tax paying family who ,amongst other things,fund benefits for those who don't work for one reason or another. Just a thought.
