Fifty shades of  Brentford?

Many of you will agree that Brentford is renowned for many things. The place is so interesting!No no no.. not the Football club... not the chippy in Albany Road...and not the posh Spa at the Waldorf Astoria in Syon Park. You might say the fab jazz at the Brewery Tap or a curry meal at that new place on the High Street but no no..Yes we know about the Kew Bridge Steam Museum...and the Musical Museum along the road. Some people rave about the Watermans Art Centre and better still Linda Massey's Brentford Festival in Boston Manor Park.Yes the Canal is lovely and the views of the Thames from Brentford Dock are a joy as is some of the architecture on the Great West Road.But did you know that the Fifty Shades etc etc book...that current chart-busting bestseller.... was mind-blowingly written by a Brentford local?Well according to an old copy of the Daily Mail, the lady lived for 14 years in one of our topiary famous streets.... thus adding to TW8's fame!

... um ...so perhaps it's not surprising to read in the Daily Mail that the Brentford author (congratulations to her by the way) is thinking of moving...and has her eye on our local Butts!(pun intended of course!)

I have often said I'd write a book, trouble is I don't think anyone would believe it! It certainly wouldn't be steamy, and excuse me! - I haven't got grey hair either!

Now now Vanessa...if you can't say anything nice it's sometimes better to stay quiet.I assume that because there is so much happening in Isleworth that we haven't been treated to a steamy tome penned by your good self.50 shades of grey hair perhaps ? :-)

I knew the author lived in Brenford - a fact that the great and good in Chiswick found hard to accept. I think if Brentford was as wonderful as you believe then then the lady would not have had enough time on her hands to write this bonkbuster, sounds to me like she was bored out of her brain and let her imagination run riot! Either that or there's more male eye candy in Brentford than I've ever seen!
