Twits at Hounslow Council

Live broadcasts ended in 2011 - peak viewing appeared to have been candidates standing for the 2010 election and a 40k saving was therefore taken.  I think it is a real shame and reduces potential accountability but it was sadly only potential (I could never get it to work).

John - last year, you and the rest of the Conservative Group complained vociferously that meetings were being cancelled and you were losing the right to hold the administration to account by asking questions.Between now and 2014, please get a consistent line on this your flipflopping is driving me crazy.

A quite unecessary meeting. No business at all other than questions. £5000 of council tax wasted.

Then again, his motions will probably be the only ones passed from his side of the Chamber for the duration of this council.

Seems to have worked quite well Theo, although the meeting itself sounded rather uneventful.  Under the last administration those of us who were of a sociable bent would usually find ourselves shuffling on our seats and checking our wristwatches whilst wondering whether we were going to make it out for a pint after the event - that didn't seem to be an issue where you were concerned.I think you dealt with Councillor Lee's contribution with particular sensitivity.  Any more detail than you gave would definitely have been too much.

TheoThe address you give for Matt Harmer appears to be wrong (got some guy in the US of the same name). I have @cllrharmertw8 although he my have another as that seems to be dated.
