Let there be light..
And there is...I refer to the small car park (handily free for first half hour) opposite Costcutter on London Rd/High St.I asked for the lamplights to be put back on at night, as recently they have been switched off and you couldn't see that hand behind you at night it was that dark.I (rather logically one might think) emailed street lighting regarding this only to be informed it was the parking dept. that was responsible.Credit where it is due,I emailed them 12:53 on 24/9 and the lights were on last night.I also received a phone call at about 5:15 on 25th confirming that they would be on that night and an informative email this morning as well.It's uite often the politics and red tape that get in the way of having regard for Councils and it is easy to forget that there are many staff who work for Councils who are aware that they are there to serve the public and do their best to do so.If only it was also true in every case at the political level.
