Plan to improve Health and Wellbeing

http://www.hounslow.gov.uk/news_mod_home/news_mod_year/news_mod_month/news_mod_show?NewsID=54378&month1=10&year1=2012The new Health and Wellbeing Board wants your views !I was surprised at the life-expectancy variation :"The ward with the longest life expectancy was Heston East (men: 89 years) and the shortest was in Isleworth (men: 74 years), a difference of 15 years."and terribly puzzled by the high percentage of females deaths under 28 days compared with males in Figure 2.Giving help to those who want to stop smoking seemed a reasonable priority, but I wasn't convinced on improving kids oral health over all the other possibilities in section 5.7. And "reducing the use of acute hospital beds" for the helping adults retain their independence needs further explanation to be sold to me.I also thought that Hounslow's poor local environment of noise and air quality should have got a mention.

A neighbour had been suffering from a long term sinus problem until a house move to Staines - within a week it was cured.  We know somebody else with a mild asthma condition which disturbs them all day here in sunny Osterley, and disappears when they go out of the area.Walking around the area from late afternoon people appear to be using their chimneys to burn wood and coal, and the builders reign supreme with their toxic fires.The extra pollution from the recent tidying up of the skys and moving the planes over Brentford/Osterley adds to the muck being deposited onto us, and that is before the odd dumping of fuel from tanks just before landing.:-(
