It's Sunny in Australia.

Spring has sprung. It's 8.30am and I am wearing shorts and a polo shirt. Temp should reach 32c today.I still miss Brentford though.

I've got the flu and on Wednesday we had the most impressive storm I have ever seen.The first one, we had hail stones the size of golf balls land. 30 mins later the skies darkened and we had hail stones the size of tennis balls land. My old car now has dents all over it.See you all next month.

A snow making machine...I think I will put that on my Christmas list for next year.  We bought a sled for the boys a number of years ago and threw it out last spring 'cause it had rotted (brittle plastic) they never used it!  When shopping for this Christmas I have seen bubble making machines and fog machines (the sort of stuff you have at a disco party) don't know how effective they are - or the snow making machine.  How does it work?

Sarah,It was snowing when I awoke on Christmas morning, and I had a 28 mile drive to Waterord ahead of me, but all was well - snow stayed light, and day was very enjoyable.Returning home at 5 pm was a different story - almost blizzard conditions, like white spikes rushing at the windscreen and a howling gale from the Comeragh Mountains trying to blow me out to sea!  I was glad to get home...There are no speed cameras on the Waterford Road; occasionally we have cops with the hand held gadgets, but they were too sensible to be out in that weather on Christmas Day!  My great grandson Ricky managed to get me with a snowball just as I was leaving for home.. made his day!

...aw!  come on!  so who had snow then?  We didn't have any in West London but we received phone pictures from Wolverhampton of snowy street scenes!Ann - were you out throwing snow balls at speed cameras?

Happy Christmas, Neil - I guess it has already arrived where you are!Here in Ireland we are promised snow tomorrow - I'll believe it when I see it!I shall be spending the day in Waterford City with daughter Maria, hubby and family - including 7 months old Jessica, who arrived 'out of the blue' - her big sisters are 26 and 20 and her brother is 18......she is a joy.Have a great time and a peaceful 2005 for all of us.

Hi allThe weather toadya had been a fine 26c with a very nice breeze blowing. The forcast for christmas day though is rain.I hope its not to haot as i've got to cook the turkey.Have a great christmas.

G'day NEIL, what's the weather like in OZ today?Its raining, damp and cold here in west London(Brentford) and looks like it'll persist all day. Just been out to get a newspaper - am now wet and miserable. Think I'll make myself a cuppa to cheer me up. Have a happy Christmas. Cheers!  ;-(

The game sounded ok. I listen to all the matches live over the net. I subscribe to BEESWORLD. It is a paid service were you can listen to the matches live and see the highlights over the net.Shame about the 3rd round draw though. The Bees play Luton at home on Tuesday. The draw is not a money spinner though.The club made 150,000 pounds in TV rights with the Bristol and Hinkley games. I hope the replay is also live on tv, another 75,000.

0-0 and next round against Luton if they get through the replay. Up the Bees: they seem to have a good Community following these days...and active supporters clubs. I used to think that attendances at Griffin Park of 3000 or 4000 were low. Then I recently started to attend Council Meetings and found only 3...5..or 10..in the crowd!Chiswick did well the other week..about ...70?

Not so sunny in Brentford???Thanks for the tip about the live broadcast, Jim.Excellent game, and I - for one - am glad the penalty was missed, otherwise it would have been a bone of contention forevermore.Replay at Griffin Park - you lucky beggars!  Last time I was there I was with my dear old Dad, and lifetime Bees' supporter.  He will probably be there in spirit for the replay!

The heat does bring with it lots of trouble. The bushland Reserve behind my house went up in flames. Luckly for us the winds moved the fire away from our house towards the town of Gosford.Once before, when I was visiting Brentford, my wife and kids were evacuated because the bush behind the house was alight.So not all is great when its hot.

Its cold, dark and damp in sunny west London and its depressing me something awful. The arthritis in m'bones is giving me real gyp and like I said recently I think my dandruff's returned! I agree with ANN, you are sentenced to watching the VYBORG webcam for two hours a day! Case dismissed!  ;-(

Neil,It's bad enough that you are telling us of the glorious heat in and around Sydney while here in the British Isles and Ireland it is chilly and damp....for your penance please log on to winternet-vyborg!It was bright and snowy, now it is raining and slushy, and I nominate you to do a bit of slush sweeping along that main thoroughfare in Vyborg!  We will all wave at you through the back of the wardrobe!!!!!
