Kew Village Market - Sunday 4th November
Come along to Kew Village Market on Sunday, held outside Kew Gardens Station in Station Parade between 10am-2pm. There are over 30 stalls, offering the usual meat, fruit & veg, cakes & bread, fish, real ale's, chutney's and pickles, as well as various crafts, such as jewellery, millinary, reclaimed oak chopping & cheese boards, hand-knitted baby clothes and various textile crafts.There will be music, with Kate de Freitas band playing jazz, blues and salsa.We are also pleased to let you know that Kew Village Market came 3rd in the Charity/Not for Profit catagory at the recent Richmond Business Awards. At October’s market we were visited by the Mayor of Richmond, Rita Palmer and she presented cheques for £2,700 to local charities. SPEAR received £1000 to help homeless people, FitzRoy £800 to help equip their new home for people with severe mental and physical disabilities on Richmond Hill. The local Rotary Club received £400 to give dictionaries to Year Five pupils at schools in Kew. And Small Steps school in Roehampton was given a cheque for £500 to help pre-school children with cerebral palsy or other forms of motor or sensory impairment develop skills. We would also like to congratulate Spear with winning this category and INS for 2nd place.We hope to see you there tomorrow!
