Heavy rain, big puddles on GWR. Please check the drains!
Last night's heavy rain resulted in flooding (large puddles) in 4 local areas that I observed at 11.30pm 1) Under the railway bridge in Acton Lane...near the junction with Southfield Road W4 (Roadway completely flooded and dodgy)2) The west side of the Chiswick Roundabout at the Chiswick Flyover. Traffic travelling from Chiswick Town, navigating the roundabout to travel onto the Great West Road, had to pass through an enormous puddle in the inside lane under the "bridge" on the south side.3) Large puddle on the Great West Road, Brentford..westbound...just before the junction with Clayponds Lane...at the point where the slip road from the M4 above descends to to the GWR below.4) Large puddle on the Great West Road,Brentford.. westbound carriageway...as it passes over the Grand Union Canal bridge. In wet conditions and in 11pm darkness, hitting large puddles is no fun and indeed it's a hazard for the unaware. So, just drawing everyonesattention to these happening. Maybe the drains need checking at those locations. I have notified Murad at the GLA.How was your road?
