Is Brentford a good place to live?

Dear friends of Brentford:My name is Carlos and I am considering moving to Brentford. I have been offered a nice flat near Griffin Park, but the information I have found in the web about the area is not very good, so I would appreciate any first hand information about the area. In particular, I want to know if Syon Park is a safe area to walk dogs, because I was attacked by a dangerous dog in the past, and I have much fear since.I'm sorry if my questions may annoy someone. Syon Park and Griffin Park are quite a long way apart, also much of Syon Park is private. Closer places to walk your dog are Watermans Park, Carville Hall Park and St Pauls Recreation Ground - though the last one does also attract some owners of improperly socialised dogs who seem to think it is OK to take over the whole dogwalking area for themselves. The best place for dogwalking is probably Gunnersbury Park, which is 10-15 minutes walk from Griffin Park.

It's a nice place Carlos. The local parks are beautiful and well run. I've not had any experience of dangerous dogs locally. Boston Manor Park is close by and a beautiful place. It leads onto the Grand Union canal, again a nice setting and a pub a shortish walk at Hanwell.Have a good xmas.
