Ray Cheeseman

It's a bit of a long shot but I was wondering if any of you good folks new Ray or his family?He used to live on the Syon Estate ,I think it as on Hawthorne Grove (right opposite the Rose Community Centre).He was a bin man for 25years and retired some time ago.I knew him well but have just learned from West Mid.Hospital that he passed away last November just after I last saw him.He was about to go away on holiday then,but I don't know the circumstances of his death.He was quite ill for the last few years of his life and had battled throat cancer for some time,having had several operations.He was a great bloke,humourous and kind to a fault and I just wanted to give my condolences to his family but I don't know how to get in touch with them.RIP Ray.

Thanks Vanessa,that's a good idea I will follow up on.I spoke to a very helpful lady at the Chronicle and there is no obituary for him on their records.I only know his ex-wife's first name,I do know that his son lives somewhere on the lock development.

Not sure if the local library would hold a copy of the Electoral Register nowadays, but if they do it's a public document and you may be able to find the family on that?
