I agree with the last part Vanessa, but when tenants have already been threatened with eviction by a Labour Council Leader (albeit an empty threat, as was realised at the time), and as nothing has been said or done since then to give a clear indication that attitudes have changed, then is it really being OTT to imagine that, given similar circumstances, it could happen again? My OP on this and on the W4 forum was intended to provide an opportunity for the administration to reassure us that this won't happen. My reference to an "authoritarian" council may, in retrospect, have been superfluous but it was merely a personal observation and did not form part of the substantive question, so arguing (as John C. tried to) that the Lead Member would not respond because of it is a cop-out.I asked one reasonable thing - for reassurance that this in some ways necessary legislation would not be used to bully tenants who became active. So far we've had responses to that question from three oily rags, but the mechanic would appear to be on strike.
