Hounslow Police Sation front office

Boris is planning to close 45 front offices but keep Hounslow open 24/7. My experience of Hounslow front ofice is waiting 20minutes behind someone before saying to him "You are being dealt with aren't you?" The answer was "No". He had been waiting 30 minutes and no sign of anyone to speak to or means of getting attention. That was 2 years ago. Perhaps someone can paint a more recent, happier picture. Boris, why don't you have them install a press bell for front office customers like they have in their prisoner cells. Or they did back when I was in the Job.

There are several main car parks within a short walk of the Police station in Hounslow, so I don't get your argument.  The road outside is heavily lined with 'serious security cameras' so clearly you wouldn't want to take the chance of parking as you will be fined.If there is a concern it is the argument about the cost of Hounslow car parking which is outrageous.  Maybe you could negotiate a 'get the first hour free' if they stamp your ticket when you get to the front desk? …  …  :-)

Hounslow Police station has to be one of the most useless and inaccesible police stations in London.While they continue to bang on about rationalisation and efficiency, it's a shame they cannot come into the reality of the 21st century and have police stations ( and post offices) that are easy to access and visit without getting a parking fine for the inevitable 35 min plus wait.They would do better to keep Brentford Police station and close Hounslow

Ditto Southall Police Station re waiting to be 'seen'. However Southall Police Station will not in future not be open 24/7. Only 68,000 live there officially any way....An old friend of mine visited Southall Police Station in December and waited 2.5 hours before a copper appeared and asked 'what do you want?'. During that period 4/5 people came in to report a  crime. Losing the will to live after waiting for so long and not being 'seen' they left saying sod it why bother trying to report a crime.No wonder the numbers of reported crimes are dropping.
