Yarn Bombing Brentford High Street

The world wide phenomenon of 'yarn bombing' is going to happen in Brentford. The Brentford High Street Steering group are going to cover lamp posts, bus stops, trees and anything else we can find, with wooly accessories to welcome the markets back to Brentford in the Spring! If you can, get knitting or crocheting panels, patches or shapes that will be stitched together to bring some pazaz to the High Street! I was hoping this was just a silly fad but note the yarns are still there.  When I see a tree I like to see its natural trunk, not some grubby blanket.

Oh dear, I hope I don't upset anyone when I say that personally I think all the wool on the high street looks terribly tacky. Can we get it taken down? It detracts from the lovely Victorian look of the Market place.
