Eating in Brentford

My friend and I decided to eat lunch out on Sunday; neither of us were truly hungry, so we decided to go to what used to be "Grounds". Obviously neither of us had been there for a long time, and did not recognise the sign "Time".Anyway we went in and ordered 2 teas and 2 panini's. The tea arrived straight away, the paninis did not. In fact we were there for almost 40 minutes when the waitress came up to us and told us that they had no cheese, and so no paninis.Probably the worst service I have experienced. They should change their sign to "A waste of time". Certainly wont be going there again.

There are occasional snafus in even the best run places. I take my dad for lunch at the same restaurant every week and service is always very prompt. One day, about a month ago, they somehow lost our order between till and kitchen and we waited ages. As I said to the manager that day, if it had been our first visit, it would also have been our last but, luckily for her, we knew this wasn't typical.

Four of us had  lunch in Time on Sunday, two salt beef bagettes, one eggs benedict, one toasted ham, cheese and onion sandwich plus drinks. Sat outside in the sunshine, service prompt and attentive. Perhaps we were in different Time Zones......
