WMUH Urgent Care Centre

Can I say that I would highly recommend the above if you need urgent medical attention when your GP is shut. I unfortunately found myself there yesterday and was astounded by the efficiency and professionalism of everyone from the receptionist through to the nurse and physio I saw. Although it was fairly busy all patients were processed through with the minimum of delay. The physio I saw was really lovely and took plenty of time to listen and advise as well as do a physical examination, she then got a prescription as well and we were through in under an hour from arrival. I hope it has taken the pressure off A&E for conditions that are acute but not life threatening when you just can't access your GP.

West Middlesex Urgent Care Centre may be all well and good now, but just wait till the 30,000 seriously patients who annually present themselves at Ealing Hospital A&E turn up at West Middlesex Hospital reception instead.Let's see how the atmosphere might then change in spite of the expensively PFI funded superior air conditioning. And just how long will those in pain wait for triage and treatment; how long they might suffer in an ambulance; and how long they may have had to wait for an ambulance?

Totally agree, Vanessa.  From a posting I made last August...Over the years we have made good use (!) of A&E at the West Middlesex.A gardening accident a week ago needed a tetanus booster and stitching and possibly a trek over to Teddington so I was very pleased to hear about the new walk in centre based at the West Midd'.  First visit (yes, gardening is a dangerous business) I was in and out inside an hour, second visit antibiotics and in and out in under two hours.  Very nice atmosphere, super friendly staff and air conditioning that works a treat!  :-)http://www.hrch.nhs.uk/our-services/clinics-health-centres/hounslow-ucc/hounslow-ucc/
