How residents in CPZs lose out

Cut and pasted below are a set of typical Terms and conditions for what is a very good carpet cleaning offer. I understood from another thread on here that many Hamilton Rd residents hadn't bothered applying for parking permits,  especially if they owned 2 vehicles, parking one or both for free in the surrounding roads!

Same here Iain. And living in CPZ I never had problems with where to park. As Hamilton Road residents don't now.

That's how it used to be but so many residents refuse to provide visitor permits. or can't produce one when a service person arrives. They don't want to spend out.Especially as they have increased by 300% in Ealing.Some boroughs now don't allow visitor permits.This is why so many small trades are no longer prepared to take a risk of losing more than a days income on a ticket.

When I lived in a CPZ I had visitor vouchers, paid for by me, but used by any tradesmen I needed. I was never charged extra or refused service despite my 9am-9pm, 7 days a week CPZ.......

But, apart from the anarchists of Grove Park, people are only too quick to vote for CPZs in their road, so must take all the consequences.

Been happening in Ealing and Chiswick for ages.Loads of services add up to £40 for jobs in CPZ postcodes. Usually by stealth.If you want to get an idea, When you ask for a quote, give an address outside a CPZ first. Then do it again but for inside a CPZ.You may be very shocked!
