I am so pleased the market is coming back to Brentford, I fully support local community projects so I will see you there!

As a resident of Brentford I was so excited about the market as I felt it would really enrich our highstreet. Last Sunday 02/06/13 I held a cake stall on behalf of the The Brentford toy library to raise funds for them. I was extremely appalled by the treatment I received the hands of the organisers who spent the whole day bullying me and telling me I had annoyed their other traders because I was selling cake. What is so upsetting is I have emails to prove they fully knew what i was selling and were fine with it until they came under pressure from the traders. Surely as a Brentford based business and a Brentford residents I should have priority over other traders all of whom are not Brentford based, especially since all profits raised went to the Brentford Toy Library - a local community project which provides wonderful services to parents in Brentford and is under a very real threat of closing at the end of this year. Very unproffessional people

The fountain was moved to the new market. A few years ago it was restored and is now at the front of the market.

Another excellent initiative by the community in Brentford, I am sure all will join me in wishing it every success.

As Western International has gone - does anyone know what has happened to the Fountain that once was there and originally in Brentford junction with Kew Bridge?
