Smash and grab at Mercs.
Read this on the front page of TW8 and was shocked to see that Mercedes insurance have declined responsibility for the car that was nicked. If it was my car I think I'd be having one hell of an argument here. Firstly - don't Mercs. have a duty of care for cars left in their possession? Secondly whatever happened to customer service? How did the thieves know which keys were for which car? Were the keys in a locked key cabinet, ot just on hooks with the registration numbers on the keys? It comes as no shock that the insurers are trying to wriggle out of any blame - what's new? But bearing in mind how this would push your car insurance premium up through no fault of your own would make me so bloody furious, I'd be preparing to have a real go and take it all the way.
