London Underground and Overground disruption this weekend (18-19 May 2013)

The District line and Piccadilly line will be disrupted all weekend due to track replacement at Stamford Brook and Ealing Common, and drainage improvement works at Hammersmith. District line Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 May:No service between West Kensington, Ealing Broadway and Richmond. Replacement buses operate:Service A: Earl's Court - Hammersmith - Ravenscourt Park - Stamford Brook - Turnham Green - Chiswick Park - Gunnersbury - Acton Town - Ealing Common - Ealing Broadway - Northfields.Service D: Earl's Court - West Kensington - Hammersmith - Ravenscourt Park - Stamford Brook - Turnham Green - Chiswick Park - Gunnersbury - late night and early morning also serves Kew Gardens and Richmond Piccadilly line Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 May:No service between Barons Court, Northfields and Uxbridge. But the FA / League final fixtures are planned over a year ahead and the draw made for fixtures in June/July.Of course, no-one knows who makes it to wembley but the chaos for fans from wherever seems to happen every year.Yesterday was a nightmare travellin such a short distance. We all walked back from Wembley took hours but did get a superb curry in Alperton.Shame for Brentford, That's the last time I go to the play-offs, apart from the expense - nearly £200 for the family, They seem doomed to fail there.Next season ; Finishing as Champions will only be good enough.  Save on the nervous stress!!

Thanks for the update Chris. We all know that there's work to be done on the railway but to pick a weekend when Brentford are at Wembley which has always been a pain in the a@@e to get to beggars belief!!!
