From here to East Croydon

The other day we took the train from Brentford to East Grinstead in leafy Sussex, where we boarded  the delightful Bluebell Railway steam train to Sheffield Park. Later that day, leaving the lovely South Downs behind us on our return journey to London, I suddenly saw a vision of the future our town planners, councillors and developers have in store for Brentford.   EAST CROYDON!!

In one word Horrible.If Hounslows councillors have that as their vision for Brentford, maybe they should up sticks and go and live there.

Having never been to East Croydon, I don't get the reference. I take it that East Croydon is overcrowded with loads of flats and tallish buildings. Or what?
