The 'youngsters' starting out, quickly become 'oldsters' with a habit. The Lottery counter at Tesco Osterley, had a wall of the message 'smoking causes death' because it was on every packet on show. A real wall of death! I don't smoke but it was an amazing sight. I don't know if they found there was a drop in sales, or whatever the reasoning, but the price tags on the shelves are now positioned so that they cover the messages! You are no longer confronted with the same message, which might have stopped somebody in their tracks as they waited in the queue to buy their next pack?I have another reason to think about this again, number 2 son, now at University has tried smoking to be sociable with others in the group he is mixing with. He would not have tried, had he not been in this sort of environment. Where is the campaign to STOP people from STARTING to smoke?
