Patronising claptrap
Just loved Nick Clegg's "the public wouldn't understand" comment about the possible recommendations that M.Ps should get a whopping 10% rise. How dare he? It's not a case of 'understanding' it's more a case of one law for them and another for the rest of us, and us seeing right through them. As for that Tory who said he'd given up business to be an M.P. and lost money - well, tough. He then went on to say that paying more would mean we'd get inexperienced people wanting be M.Ps. Sorry but what training schools are there for would-be M.Ps? They are ALL inexperienced to start off with and I for one don't believe that being 'in business' is anymore relevant to politics than being a shop worker. In all likelihood we'd get more sense from someone who'd actually worked in the real world.
