I am sorry but she is a liar, i was shown the Email that she sent 2 another local Councillor with all her Lies which she included me in it (and Phil Andrews) as i had to go with his solicitor 2 Labour H/Q in Chiswick. The reason he lost was because he trusted her enough not to get proof and it was his Word against a local councilor so please don't say it was lies unless u ave proof. She is a disgrace as a Councillor and i hope in 2014 she looses her Seat.

In my Eyes 2 of our Local Councillors should off been sacked 4 their campaign against a local pensioner and the Lies they stated but after complaining to the Local Labour party they got off and even when this Resident took 1 of them to court the Cllr won. They wont be getting My vote in 2014 and i hope they loose their seats.

I'm old enough to remember some of this stuff and it does seem to be repeating itself.I suppose Raymond does have a point that what goes around comes around yet nothing gets learned and actioned upon, although the facebook and twitter age does seem to be exposing far more of late.It goes back to the days of Barney Hayhoe who was then MP.  Things were much closed between MP and councils then.Unfortunately Hounslow's tories were also rather adept at helping along matters that benefited friends and associates and quite a few multiple landlords.People will change their spots quite easily if they think party X Y or Z will be of use to them.All parties need to be very vigilant about who joins or affiliates themselves at any level.

I agree but the fact that this borough is so corrupt politically and that what goes around comes around keeps recurring says to me that there is something very wrong with the political system.It's well documented that this disease is not confined to Labour. It does infect other parties.  Such is the desperate desires of parties for power that they will do almost anything to take or maintain the balance of power.What is truly shameful is that this is still happening and that not enough has been done to prevent abuse, corruption and infiltration in political parties who have vested interests and intentions.Rotten to the core? Probably. But it might be a bigger problem for Labour but it most certainly as bad in the Tories and Lib-Dems.As someone else mentioned. For other parties to gloat and try to capitalise on the imploding Labour set up in this area is not going to impress any voters who are more than a little jaded with party politics.Clear, open and honest policies, solutions and intentions by a prospective administration is what this town and borough want.Not the secret, conniving and inept administration we have.But oddly, Nothing i've read yet seems to seriously have a single answer.

SteveI think a decade is optimistic (from a Conservative perspective).  Whatever happens in 2014, the general election the following year is likely to produce either a Labour or a Labour-led government, and the local election of 2018 will take place slap bang in the middle of that, with all that that entails in terms of the obligatory mid-term protest vote.  And there is unlikely to be either a general or a European election held on the same day.The way things are currently shaping up, the likelihood is that the Tories will be rent asunder by internal splits and demoralisation for a long time to come.  On the other hand there is a real groundswell of dissatisfaction - and increasingly organised dissatisfaction - amongst residents' groups in several parts of the borough - not least in Chiswick, where the impotence of the Tories in opposition has manifested itself quite starkly, as has their preference for inane party politicking over taking up real community causes in a mature and constructive manner.The threat to Labour control in 2018 will therefore, in my view, come primarily from the residents' movement, quite possibly fortified by the presence of some elected members from emergent small parties.A cursory glance at Labour's most recent propaganda output, from HM Magazine to Councillor Sharma's frankly unhinged Chronicle article in which he used the tragic deaths of two local residents in a fire to attack the ICG, would suggest that Labour understands this very well indeed.

It's not just Hounslow, the Labour Party has wooed wrong 'uns for quite a long time, prepared to turn a blind eye in the quest for securing votes.It's really unfortunate but the corruption and skullduggery prevails in areas where there are large Asian communities.Anthony is right in respect of the fact that some of this corruption is the norm in a great many overseas countries. And many left those countries because of it.What is wrong is that just for votes and the game of politics, it has been allowed to seep unchecked, into this countries establishments.It's nothing new and it is certainly not exclusive to Labour. The Lib_Dems and Tories have had very similar antics.What really sickens me is Labours impotence at rooting this out and it's continuing state of denial.Followed closely by the Tories ability to gloat and try to capitalise of the debacle but completely avoiding what they should be doing. Addressing the appalling list of policy and service failings in this borough and it's dreadful planning and housing policies.It's becoming rather clear that they have no idea either and are probably just as cosy with developers and their chums.

AnthonyIt isn't just, or even primarily, about a lack of courage on the part of the Labour Party in Hounslow.  It is more about simple mathematics.If you look at the number of wards in which the party is controlled by people of this particular mindset, and deduct those wards from the total held by Labour in the borough, you will see that the party cannot hold a majority without them.It really is as straightforward and as simple as that.And for all their protestations of wanting to deal with the problem, the party-first ethos which pervades dictates that some level of tolerance needs to be maintained in the face of even the most corrupt practices.I've said before that the Hounslow Labour Party is essentially a coalition between these two elements, and neither is strong enough on its own to hold power in the borough without the co-operation of the other.  When that is understood the reason why Labour does not and cannot do anything to alter the situation that it has gotten itself into becomes very clear indeed.

It simply shows that again and again, Labour are utterly spineless when it comes to dealing with those who pull a fast one and then use the 'R' word as cover, knowing that they will cack themselves each time.It may well be normal practice in the sub continent and quite a few european countries to be corrupt in this way, ( I know I've worked there for 11 years and that's the way it is)  but it should be made very clear to anyone wanting to participate in UK politics at any level in any party, that it is NOT acceptable here.Irrespective of race, creed or colour, period.Unfortunately, Hounslow and Ealing have a history of rather dubvious practices by Labour and Conservative members who happen to be Asian. One can even accept that for those who came to this country as adults were used to things like this being the norm and that they do not deem it corrupt.But such is the fear of being perceived to be racist and possibly lose votes, Labour in particular, has turned a blind eye.30 years on and this is still going on. Now, it is not acceptable as there really is no excuse.It should be tackled whether they be Asian, European,African, Martian or any other nationality who do not wish to put honesty, duty and honour at the top of their tree.It's bizarre that still, individuals who dare make a remark that is close to the truth still get bumped into a Nazi like Kangaroo court and you can guarantee the subject of the remarks will never get investigated and proven or disproven.Clearly the reaction by the party indicates how uncomfortable it makes them. In other words, they are fearful of what may be going on.It may have escaped their notice, but there are millions of honest Asians in this country who like many Moslems are here to live in an honest, fair society.They, like most of us do not want to see corruption tainting our society either or their culture and heritage tainted by the few. This is in some cases why they left their homelands to escape the greed and corruption.Standards Anyone? Mine's a double!!

I think Councillor Peter Thompson, the leader of the Conservative Group on Hounslow Council, has made a very effective intervention on thus subject.The Conservatives are quite capable of calling for a proper inquiry in due course. But in the meantime the Labour Group is tearing itself apart. Both local Constituency Labour parties have been placed in Special Measures by Labour Head Office. Labour Councillors are bring deselected. Other Labour Councillors are in serious trouble. Major questions have been raised in the media.More will emerge.The role of Councillor Colin Ellar is crucial to all this.

Feltham and Heston Constituency Labour Party along with Brentford and Isleworth Constituency Labour Party has been placed in Special Measures by Labour Party Head Office. This means that for some reason or another, Labour Party Head Office no longer trusts the officers and members of both Constituency Labour Parties in Hounslow to run their own affairs.When did this happen?Why did it happen?What does this mean?

We have already discussed the alleged "racist language" elsewhere but I am interested in the charge of "uncomradely behaviour".Does this not suggest a belief that loyalty to one's comrades and to the party should outweigh considerations of integrity and honesty in the conduct of public office?If Councillor Hughes' appeal isn't upheld, at least on this charge, there is clearly something very fundamentally wrong with the mindset of the entire organisation.

This would be the "Asian Boys' Club" reference I presume?Another rumour doing the rounds is that Councillor Hughes was disciplined for "bullying Alan Barber", the Labour member for Bedfont.  I have never, to my knowledge, met Councillor Barber, but from his picture he doesn't look the type of guy that most bullies would select for a victim.

My understanding is that she has been suspended because of remarks about Asian colleagues that the Group deemed to be racist.I note Peter Thompson has nothing to say about criticism of his own administration for allowing huge quantities of soil and other materials to be dumped on Feltham Arenas despite officer advice that it might prove to be an unwise decision. Wasn't this his deputy's pet project at the time, and hasn't it created an eyesore in the area that the residents will not forgive them for?
