St Pauls' School needs more space. > Age Concern premises! !

The new team at Aged Concern /UK has plans to expand to cover a wider selection of it's caring services...and could ideally use the rest of the perhaps vacant rooms on that site. All seems on hold... and they may have to move elsewhere in Brentford if the Council can find them suitable premises.It's all because of the expanding population.. and the need for St Pauls' School to expand.Where will us poor old souls have to struggle to now.Shame Volunteer Roy has left.. His breakfasts ...and fish and chips in Fridays.. we're legendary.

It is good news that St Paul's School is expanding. If over 900 new apartments are built in order to fund the building of the new Brentford Football Stadium at Lionel Road, then a lot more new school places will be needed in Brentford and Chiswick.Hounslow''s Labour Council is so dominated by its rivalries and preoccupations to the west of the rotten borough, that it seems to have forgotten that it needs to provide or permit the provision of more school places at primary and secondary level to cater for the expanding population.More free schools and church schools may be part of the solution.

Recent academies, which I presume are the only schools to get sufficient funding under the current Secretary of State, have been taking over empty office blocks. Plenty of those in Brentford.

The Griffin Park site could be a school which would be a great use for it or The old goods yard.Anything other than skyscrapers of more flats.

Could Age Concern move to the library? Never seems to be anything going on upstairs? It would have to be accessible. Just a short hop across the road to drop off prescription requests!So many new flats built in Brentford, but no new infrastructure to go with it. Can you believe that little Lionel Road School (undersubscribed when my children started there is now three form entry?
