Well done LBH staff
This is partly related to Sarah's thread about waiting times on the phone to Hounslow. I wanted to speak to someone in streetcare to pass on my thanks to the worker who made an excellent job of clearing some very unsightly weeds from a small alleyway near my house and I waited ages before getting fed up, despite being 1st in the queue. The next day(Tuesday there were 6 or 7 black bin bags full of rubbish on the street with a note from the bin men that said they had been left outside the wheelie bin and would not be collected. On Wednesday I put on my anorak and got on the phone to streetcare again ,waiting 20 mins in 1st position in the queue. Fed up, I called the switchboard to explain I was not happy with the waiting times on the phone and could I please talk to someone about my complaint. Nice tho' the lady on the phone was, I was sceptical when she said she would get someone to call me back...but call me back Cheryl McBain did and within an hour or so the rubbish was gone. She also explained that the phone system is of great concern to everyone there and that it is not fit for purpose and is being reviewed. My thanks to all concerned and whatever political party pulls the strings we rely upon good service from good staff to help us with our daily lives.
