What a fiasco over the weekend concerning the latest VIP to attend the Civic Centre.http://www.hounslowchronicle.co.uk/west-london-news/world-uk-news/2013/09/21/yoga-guru-allowed-to-stay-in-uk-109642-33870668/Immigration officers were just doing their job yet Keith Vaz and Seema Malhotra backed by some Hounslow councillors deem it fit to interfere with their duty. No wonder UKIP are gaining strength.No doubt the taxpayer will be paying for the event.

Many people are stopped because although they have a valid visa for one purpose or limited duration (such as studying or visiting Immigration may suspect that they are visiting for another purpose (such as work) or without intending to leave.

Just for clarity - Hounslow Council had no direct involvement in this event - the organisers hired the Lampton Park conference centre as the venue and were charged the appropriate fees for doing so. So, no impact on the taxpayer - as the Hounslow Chronicle made clear in its online article yesterday.

Must admit that from reading the article I cannot see why he was stopped in the first place from entering the UK as he had a valid Visa
