Corinna and Neal and all:What a happy session in Brentford today...then as you say there's the Cup Match tomorrow. We'll have to post the score on the Forum for Neal...unless he can tune in via the internet to BBC 606.Nigel was a very worthy purchaser of the LAST COPY of Flood Book at Brentford Library..and as he is seemingly the local hero..with his eye on River and Canalside activities...I can happily wait a week or so. Val Bott has done well by all accounts..and she is also linked up to The Brentford and Chiswick History Society..which I must get around to joining. The Market was busy early on I gather..and the stallholders I spoke to were pleased with their results. The Meat and Pie stall looked a gem again..but sadly I had over publicised the quality of the Scotch eggs previously...so that he had sold out ...except for ONE!!The chap and his wife come from Bristol, I believe, raise the meats on their Farm, make the pies and attractive pastry decorations at their place too. Matt was on duty organising things from what I could see...and there was a flotilla of forum Members in attendance. What a welcome sight. The stall holders enjoyed hearing compliments about their products...can you imagine having a similar conversation with the Cashier at Somerfields or Chiswick Sainsburys? There was a hot vegetable soup stall...run by an enterprising local...and the bread stall hadn't much left after I had cleared his granary bread stock. He kindly gave me two mince pies for some reason...and with a scotch egg that Nigel produced for me at the Inverness Club..I feel I've had some Christmas Prezzies already.Lets hope the Traders are happy, that locals cope with the prices for this undoubted superior food, and that the experimental Farmers Market continues in dear old Brentford Town.  I'm sure some residents are taking more interest in what they eat...and that must be good.
