Current news item: Lady Diana tapes:  an Isleworth connection.

Just for information purposes...you might be interested to know that the disputed tape recordings being aired in the USA have a link with Isleworth.Mr Settelen, Lady Diane's voice coach lives/lived in Osterley and apparently he made and owns the recordings.His family were beset with a tradegy some years ago..and the website named below is a touching family dedication to their daughter.http://www.elliesettelen.net/index.htmo

Yes - and I understood there was a t'riffic example of political point scoring when the reigning MP wrote to her (and sent a copy to everyone else) to apologise to her on behalf of the people of Isleworth...heck wasn't the guy a foreigner anyway?

Why can't the poor woman be left alone to rest in peace? Pity her poor sons who have to put up with all this, she was treated disgracefully in life, the least that can be done is to honour her memory now.

Some might remember the intrusive photographs of Diana working out in a gym which were splashed across the tabloids many years ago.  These were taken at LA Fitness in Isleworth.

I hesitated in replying to this one Jim.  I looked at the web site and even then found great difficulty in responding.  I am so glad that Gareth did that first.Could a sad experience as shown on the web site make people so hard that they are oblivious to another’s heart felt problems?  I particularly feel for her children and also for Prince Charles.  Things said about events in a marriage are really between two people.  I am really sad at all these critters muscling in on her name and taking advantage of 'what they know'.  You know the spoof sci-fi magazines they used in the Men in Black films, full of completely fabricated and ridiculous news?  I feel she has one written on her and we are all in it.  I am also saddened by every one of the stories we keep hearing.  None of them nice, none of them positive.  I personally would like to see her trust wound up and given to another cause in its entirety.

Why can't these people just leave things alone? Imagine what effect such revelations are having upon Prince William and Prince Harry, not to mention the effects upon other members of the family. Rest in peace seems such a laudable sentiment, unless of course there is a salacious tale to be revealed about Diana.
