DescriptionPolice are appealing for information after a fatal fail to stop collision involving a pensioner who was out with her granddaughter.Officers, London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance were called to Boston Manor Road with the junction of Half Acre, Brentford, at 1600hrs on Monday, 28 October, to reports of a collision between a car and two pedestrians while they were crossing the road.Emergency services arrived at the scene and treated a woman in her late 60s. She was pronounced dead at approximately 1700hrs.Her seven-year-old granddaughter escaped without injury. She was treated at the scene.The car - a red hatchback - did not stop at the scene. It was last seen driving north on Boston Manor Road in the direction of the A4.Next of kin of the woman are aware. A post-mortem examination will take place at Fulham Mortuary in due course.The two occupants in the car were described as white males. The car was described as being "dirty" and it would have had damage to its front.There have been no arrests.Officers from the Road Death Investigation Unit at Hampton investigate.
