Whilst the night bus service has been massively improved, nothing has been done to keep expanding and improving the services. There are still whole blocks of outer GLA London which still have no night bus or tube/underground/train connections. Ruislip and parts of Northolt have no services at all, Nor does Osterley and the Great West road. With so many employees being forced further out from lower wages and unaffordable housing costs - even those in good career occupations are now being widely affected, TFL could have done much more much quicker to provide a better 24 public transport coverage. As for driverless tubes, the technology is available but human behaviour cannot be factored in, nor the adapting of a very old infrastructure which is not really suitable even with the proposed staffing reductions. The investment cost could be huge and may never make a return as it will rapidly become obsolete. It's wrong to use it as a political tool purely aimed at union bashing. It should be whether it is a safe and practical long term benefit to passengers and operations.
