Burglaries - Lionel Rd North, Carville Crescent & Chestnut Ave

There have been a few recent burglaries as well as attempted burglaries around Lionel Road North, Carville Crescent & Chestnut Ave The suspects have either smashed the glass in rear windows or tried to force them open, or broken into a garage and stolen a bicycle We advise you to be vigilant and report anything suspicious or any unusual activity to policeFor advice on improving home security, please contact our Crime Prevention Office on 8247 6423

It is very nice to see a message from the local Police.  I have just had a ringmaster message and was deliberating whether I could scribble it all down fast enough to add a posting.  Could you link 'ringmaster' to a posting each time you send out a message?  The message said that a man called at a house in Isleworth on Sunday saying he was dealing with a water leak in a neighbouring house.  He then ran past the elderly owner and stole money from the house.  He is a white male, scruffy in appearance with black hair and this is the second incident in Isleworth in a week.  It then advises us to remind elderly neighbours to use their spy hole when answering the door.The spy holes fitted to 2 of our elderly neighbours front doors by the local police are very impressive - the sight line through them is much better than the older style ones.  I understand they were fitted at no charge?I suppose if this 'person' sounded plausible enough then the spy hole wouldn't be a deterrent because he is exploiting a generation who would not be so rude as to refuse to help out!

Thank you for alerting us......it's so easy for us to drop our guard.Police information messages are very welcome. You are our experts on such reporting...(as you are able to collate all the reports of crime in our areas). We are often in the dark,however,..relying on hearsay..and the whim of the local Press.
