20% off

Made a purchase over £50 at Homebase today a 20% discount should have been applied, but wasn't. Having pointed this out and having added a few items, after that transaction was voided. The new amount was again given without the 20% off. Did anyone else have this experience or otherwise check to see if your 20% discount was given.

It's certainly plastered all over their website and I couldn't see anything in the T&Cs to the contrary, a dopey cashier maybe?

I would think that not giving the discount advertised - depending on the T&Cs - is certainly against one of the consumer protection acts and should be followed up.
