Good ole Hounslow Homes
Why do Hounslow Homes think this time of year is a prime time to redecorate external areas in their properties?Today I found the communal entrance door stuck because it had been painted. Now I know I'm not the strongest of persons but I couldn't shift it. I was locked inside. I did wonder if there was a medical emergency would I be able to get out? If a fire had broken out would I have managed to escape? Even the fire escape from the top of the flats leads down to the communal entrance. I did report it to the council. Pleasant chap on the phone making placating noises but what type of numpty employs numskulls to decorate in the midst of winter? Now picture this: me and another person did actually manage to shove the door open - two old wombles together - and we could see where the paint ripped. It was stuck. Hard. By paint. Now, what qualified painter & decorator just allows painted surfaces to stick together in this weather? And what type of painters & decorators are Hounslow Homes squandering money on?Last year, at around this time last year, in all the snow, Hounslow Homes got a painter & decorator in to do up the communal areas. This so-called painter & decorator - from Hertfordshire according to his van - just painted as directed and missed out filling in a huge crack - caused by subsidence. Crack filled in six months later. But not painted over.I thought Hounslow Homes would have learned from their previous mistakes but it seems not.
