Vyborg - Blizzard!

Sarah, Jim, Gerry, Gareth,In a very short while, the Vyborn webcam will be totally obliterated by snow .. remember my very first posting on the "Wardrobe thread"?I am still working on a script for the restaurant series follow-up, but meantime am also seeking a suitable Sarah song (how about that bit of alliteration??????) to stop her keening* away about being left hanging with the sweaters, so my hands are full at present.*Irish funeral wail/not a pun on our unseated MPSarah, so far all I can come up with is Phil Lynott's "My Sarah" - totally unsuitable, and might give rise to our not being allowed in the wardrobe 'alone together', if you get my drift?Anyway, posters all, take a look at Vyborg tonight.  Brrh!

Jim,I'd need a week to browse through all those lovely photos, but for pete's sake don't tell Gerry & Gareth about the Russian photos!One look at the photographer's wife Natasha, and all would be lost - they'd be back in the wardrobe - Svetlana would be given the elbow, and we'll all be back in trouble with the authorities!

Jim,Just read your posting to Gareth, and have checked the web cam.  Great information - I thought all those names and details you were chucking into the thread came from your imagination!Isn't it a lovely town? From our view, it appears rather dowdy, which is far from the truth.Poor Gareth and Ann K., I wonder where the Cossacks are leading them?  He wanted horses, he got horses!

Hi Folks, its still deep and crisp and even this morning(10.08GMT) in "sunny" VYBORG. Gosh it looks so nice all that snow - wish it would snow here for Christmas! Do hope all the good people of Vyborgt have a happy Christmas.  ;-)

Gareth: Agreed..we're being attacked!!Mind you the webcam is a biggie...as it points down from the veranda...above the pavement.If you go to the Vyborg webcam page...and then click onto the "About Vyborg Cam" button.......then click on Vyborg Cam location...and you'll discover...if you haven't seen them already...two photos of the building hosting the camera.Further meandering around that web page leads to a MAP of the area...so the Russian's we see walking towards us ..are on their way to Vyborgs RED SQUARE!The Bus and Railway Station is down the right turn..road.Its 3.30am...(I've just finished some more admin backlog!)but a quick look in to the CROSSROADS! shows the snow laying thick and carpeted across the whole scene.  I think that the salt lorries will clear that by the morning rush hour. Wonder how many visits there are to this site?
