The ayes and the noes for I.D. cards

(Mr. Howard is trying very hard to make the Conservative Party unelectable for the next decade or two.)

I don't agree with ID cards, but if they are forced upon us, the logical thing to do in order to at least give them a chance of working, is to make them compulsory.

Nothing unexpected there then eh as the local MP slavishly followed the party line, unlike my favourite MP who had the convinction to vote with the Noes.
