Slothful train service

Since the new timetable came in, has anyone actually been on a train which ran to schedule? Most of the trains I've taken have been delayed by 10-15 minutes, and a couple by as much as an hour. This is on top of the slower journey (not only have the fast trains gone, but the slow ones are timetabled to take 5 minutes longer than they used to), and it all makes the service even less competitive with nipping up the road to the Piccadilly line.

I tend to agree with you having only just been talked into travelling to work on the mainline as opposed to the underground.  I arrived at Brentford station yesterday morning in time to catch the 7.23a.m. to Waterloo.  Howevever the train that arrived at 7.25 was the 7.07a.m. train.  That didn't really bother me as I had only a short time to wait whichever train it was and at least I always get a seat.  I used to walk to Northfields every morning where even at around 7.15a.m. I rarely ever got a seat, I then had to change at Earls Court onto the District Line to Wimbledon where yet again I rarely got a seat.  Therefore I think I will stick with the train.  It is definitely more comfortable and the new trains are nice and clean but I have to agree the "timetable" appears to be something of a bad joke at the moment.
