Flights over Brentford

What a joy that no flights have been landing over Brentford for the last few days.  I love the quietness of the early mornings.  Does anyone know the reason for the flight path change?  Is the change for a specific reason or just a routine route change?

To be honest guy, I quite like watching them fly over on their descent into Heathrow, it's the 4:30 am nightflights that trouble me, because they wake me up.

It's all a bit weird. Having lived in Chiswick and Brentford these 30 odd years I had rarely even noticed planes since the end of Concorde.A couple of months ago I moved flat by less than 100 metres but I am now facing towards the flightpath rather than away from it.. and suddenly I do really notice the planes (though I don't find them much of a problem)

Yes, we noticed it yesterday all we could hear were the birds.

Winds from the east - planes always land into the wind. As the UK normally has winds from the west the planes usually land flying towards the west. Simples.
