I believe you Sarah, why would you lie about something like that?I do however believe there is an "innocent" explanation, by which I mean that neither of the main parties would have intended their leaflets to have gone out together, which would be far too much of a giveaway.  The most likely scenario is that they are sharing the same distributors (certainly plausible bearing in mind that they are clearly sharing personnel in some areas - two of the Conservative candidates in Isleworth, for example, were still publicly active in the Labour Party just a few weeks ago!).Before anyone resorts to the usual "conspiracy theory" dismissals let us just consider the simple facts - the Tories know they cannot win an overall majority on the Council and are keen therefore to retain their main opposition status, whereas Labour are happy of course just to remain in office.  Both have an interest in keeping the other on the scene, and the threat to that happening comes from the small parties (the Tories have already lost four councillors to UKIP) and residents' groups such as the ICG.Voters in areas such as Chiswick, who as a rule faithfully buy in to the old adversarial two-party charade, deserve to be told what is going on.  I hope small party candidates and independents in these areas will take the time to oblige when they are out on the stump over the next few weeks or so.  The ICG will certainly be playing its part notwithstanding our commitments in this part of the borough.
