Deliberate Misrepresentation of Fact.

Phil, you were a councillor for 12 years so you will therefore be very familiar with the Council's practices, policies and procedures. So why have you not called for an investigation into the allocation of the property to Mr R?Why, because you know only too well what your spouting off is complete and utter misrepresentation of the facts of this housing case. Let me remind you that you were Lead Member for Housing in 2007 when the Housing Policy was rewritten, the same policy that the Housing Dept followed to allocate the property in this case - and so you are therefore responsible for the policy that you are now criticising. Could this be the reason you haven't called for a review?Please stop selectivly using parts of your recent Freedom Of Information requests to give a misleading view of the truth for cynical political point scoring.

...because some of us do not believe that any exclusive group of politicians should "control" the Council - it being a democratic institution, sustained with taxpayers' money.Some of us believe the process should be "controlled" at source - that is by the service users, a.k.a. the community.  It is on that issue that this election is being contested, at least where we are.

There is really no point in voting for candidates who are not part of a party capable of winning enough seats across the borough  to win control of the Council.The only two parties capable of winning control of the Council are Labour and the Conservatives.  The Labour Party is discredited nationally and locally. It is time for an overall Conservative majority.

Well I think we have a very good chance but let us go with your hypothesis for a moment Vanessa and assume a Labour victory in the wards we are contesting next week.The vote for ICG candidates in and around Isleworth ward is still likely to run into thousands.Were the ICG to stop fighting elections that is thousands of votes up for grabs next time around.  Added to those of another challenger than would mean likely defeat for Labour in 2018.  Conversely, added to those of Labour it would give you an unassailable majority at that election.Yes I know we could not dictate to all of our former voters how they should vote in our absence, but hopefully you will get my drift?That is why, win or lose for the ICG this time around, the strategy of confrontation that has been followed is in my opinion a short-sighted and stupid one.

Very true. The lead party will always try and screw the minority party. The only good thing about a coalition is the checks and balances that sometimes can work.

The thing being overlooked Guy is that after so, many years the electorate still don't seem to buy into the ICG ideology. Presumably if it was all wonderful they'd never have been cast into the political wilderness for the last four years. Propping up the Tories last time didn't get them far, all they got for their support was a few crumbs and being cr*pped on from a great height when they'd served their purpose. The fact remains if you cannot get an overall majority you have very little influence.

Indeed, what will be will be and if the ICG is unsuccessful then I'll be the first to congratulate the winning candidates as in fact I was in 2010.Accepting defeat at elections is not difficult - it is the schoolboy crowing and cawing of people such as yourself, since your descent from intelligent contributor to Taylor clone, which will doubtless be a cause of a little irritation for a short while before we all proceed with our lives.As it is we in the ICG believe we are in with a very good shout, but that could of course prove to be entirely wrong and we will know for certain next week.

There was a rather resounding verdict on the ICG 4 years ago (yes I know - it was unfair because too many people voted and the rotten tories put up candidates)All will be revealed next Thursday or shortly thereafter.

The ICG is the only party we can trust to enforce the Community Engagement this borough so badly needs. The community is sick and tired of being ridden rough-shod by Cllrs who stuff up the Borough and run a mile from community engagement and refuse to communicate with residents. Everyone now has the chance to improve the community and the environment we live in by voting ICG..

Cant believe anything sue says, what she done for Isleworth in the past 4yrs? I have my diffrences with Phil but he was a good councillor and I can list a number of things he did in this area over the years. Is it true that 2 local long members of the local Labour party resigned and now standing this montn for the tories against you sue? Your friend says local people have lost faith in Phil that's a laugh as I no many people whom have lost faith in the local Labour party. Also whay happened between you and another local labour party member and ex campaigner for you in 2010 and why did you make up a lie about a conversation that you and I never had?
