Gas works

A sign has gone at the junction of Ealing Road and London Road saying there will be gas works for three weeks from the 23rd. Anyone got any more details -- like how much disruption this will cause?

Yes, I risked it yesterday and had a nice clear run down to Kew Bridge.

The works were finished in the road within the week. Thye are still occupying a bit of the pavement but the road is clear

I haven't been along Ealing Road for a couple of weeks, is this work still going on ?.  I thought the works (around the junction of Ealing Road and the High Street) were completed pretty quickly and had figured that was the end of it, presumably not ?.

Are we to assume they will be working all weekend and bank holiday Monday? If not, then Friday before bank holiday seems a perverse time to dig up the road.

Hole already dug and temporary lights causing havoc tonight. Plus the mayhem with temporary lights on London Road. How many more times is Brentford going to have to put up with this inconvenience? Who allows 2 lots of temporary lights at the same time? Once again we are trapped because of bad planning and have no choices.

Yes, that's the junction and the signs are up as you come down Ealing Road from the A4.

I presume you mean the Ealing Road/High Street junction (MacDonalds/former Red Lion) ? - either way I haven't seen the signs and aren't away of anything.Must be all of 2 months since the last time Ealing Road was dug up so clearly high time for more roadworks :-(
