isleworth's conservative candidates

Hi all, We seem to know about Labour's candidates and the vanity of one of their councillors in the recent "memorial-gate". We know about the ICG'S candidates and the Labour supporting UKIP candidates. But how much does anybody know about the Tory candidates? Two of them virtually have no presence online. One of them seems to be a flashy lawyer with a solicitor's profile with a regional firm and is also trustee at a legal charity. He also has a legal blog (if that is the same person - I can't imagine there'd be many Fadi Farhats knocking about). But that blog has not been updated for a long time - perhaps he's been making too much many to continue the effort. But the other two (who are I take to be husband and wife -Muhammad and Sanaa Jarche) have no cyber history whatsoever. Does anybody know about Muhamad Jarche's contributions in commerce and business in the petroleum industry? The Conservative leaflet goes on about his "vast contributions" but I haven't heard of any and I can't find any - not a single petroleum website or journal has heard of him and a friend of my dad has worked at both Shell and BP has not heard of him. As for his wife, what exactly is a Cosmetic advisor? Does she give you advice on botox or what make-up to wear?

Dear James, In my opinion (for what it's worth if anything), I do think you are being a tad unfair. Every candidate has their strengths and weaknesses. English is their second language and I think that they do get their points across quite well. Her "pitch" (as you put it) may not be as refined as a QC delivering a final submission to a jury but she gets her point across and has enthusiasm in abundance. Isn't this dig a bit petty? Whilst on the issue of language skills, you forgot to include a question mark at the end of your last question. Nobody is perfect.

David, Putting Faddi aside, when Mohamad and Sana knocked on my friend's house near Mogden Lane, they could barely speak English. Sana asked him "Are you normally vote?" as opposed to "Do you normally vote?" The rest of her pitch was a collection of incoherent utterances. With such communication skills, how did you expect them to scrutinise or review contracts relating to our everyday services.

Sana Jarche is clearly a committed Tory, especially since she stood for selection as a Labour candidate a couple of months ago but failed to be selected.

What do Mr and Mrs Jarche do for a living these days David to support their six children?A lovely couple and family but were they your first choice as candidates?

One of the former ICG councillors, Dr. Genevieve Hibbs, also spoke Japanese - fluently I believe.  I never got the opportunity to ask her how useful this was in her constituency work in Isleworth.

All three Conservative candidates live in Isleworth TW7.The three candidates are Fadi Farhat, Mohamed Jarche and Sana Jarche. Fadi Farhat is a solicitor who according to his firm's website achieved "a First Class Honours in his Law Degree. His other academic achievements include a Master's in Legal Practice focusing on Immigration Law and Human Rights. Mr. Farhat was awarded the prestigious Sweet & Maxwell (Legal Publisher) Prize 2008. He has a specific interest on issues regarding the use of force in Public International Law and the UN charter. He is a published writer on Human Rights issues." " Mr. Farhat has a keen interest in languages and linguistics and is fluent in Arabic (all dialects), Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian and Japanese (spoken only). He is presently undertaking a BA (Hons) in Modern Foreign Languages.".It seems to me that Mr Farhat is eminently qualified to be a Councillor in the multicultural London Borough of Hounslow.I wonder if  any of the Community Group, Labour or UKIP are as well qualified ?

Many former Labour Party members are quite understandably switching to the Conservatives.  I am sure that the background, the motivations  and qualifications of all the Conservative candidates have been checked thoroughly by those responsible for their selection.In contrast three of the UKIP candidates in Isleworth have been accused of being Labour clones by the Community  Group and a fourth former UKIP candidates has been deselected by his party.Labour has had problems with some of its candidates - though not so far as I know in Isleworth.

Up until very recently they were members of the Labour Party. Their daughter is standing as a Labour candidate in Chiswick. I don't know what any of them do for a living.
