Rams Westgate LTD (MOT Centre)

I love seeing the MOT centre on the Great West Road getting surrounded by the new GWQ development.   The "posh" new Novotel on one side, The Tower at the back, and on the other, whatever the huge monstrosity being built on the corner is.Is the MOT centre staying, I thought at one point they were being forcably removed?

The owner is a local hero.He stood up to the bullying of the developers and resisted the lure of big bucks.They tried everything to prise him out but he stood firm.We have all our vehicles MOT'd there as he is a local business well worth supporting.

Yes that's true: Rams is the freeholder there. Apparently there is a project to accommodate the garage partially underneath but I cannot confirm 100%.  The idea is just to make it in line with the modern development around. Personally I m very happy with Rams and would not like them to go.

If I remember correctly the Garage owner owns the land his building sits on. The developers aren’t really interested in buying the freehold anymore after they offer was rejected some time ago
